1. Introduction
Self Published ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application Rx Med Reminder (the "App"). Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. We understand the sensitive nature of health-related information and are committed to protecting your privacy. The following section describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you use the Rx Med Reminder app.
2.1 Information You Provide to Us
The App is designed to function locally on your device. We do not require you to create an account or provide personal information to use the App. Any medication information, reminders, schedules, notes, or other data you enter into the App is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers or any third-party servers.

This information remains on your device and under your control. We do not have access to this information unless you specifically choose to share it with us for support purposes.
2.2 Automatically Collected Information
When you use the App, we automatically collect certain technical information to help us understand how the App is performing and to improve its functionality.
Crash Reports
We collect crash reports and diagnostic information when the App experiences technical problems or crashes. This information is collected automatically through Apple's crash reporting systems and helps us identify and fix bugs, improve App stability, and enhance user experience. Crash reports may include:
- Device type and model
- Operating system version
- App version number
- Timestamp of the crash
- Technical information about the state of the App at the time of the crash
- Stack traces and memory logs
- Unique device identifiers assigned by the operating system
Crash reports do not contain your medication information, personal health data, or any other content you have entered into the App. These reports are technical in nature and are used solely for debugging and improving App performance.
2.3 Information We Do Not Collect
For your privacy and security, we explicitly do not collect:
- Personal identification information such as name, address, or phone number

- Biometric data
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the limited information we collect only for the following purposes:
3.1 To Improve App Performance
Crash reports and diagnostic information are analyzed to identify technical issues, bugs, and areas for improvement. This allows us to:
- Fix crashes and technical errors
- Improve App stability and reliability
- Optimize performance across different iOS devices and versions

- Prioritize feature development and bug fixes
3.2 To Provide Customer Support
If you contact us directly for technical support or assistance, we may use the information you provide in your communication to:
- Respond to your inquiries and support requests

3.3 To Comply with Legal Obligations
We may use and disclose information as we believe necessary or appropriate to comply with applicable laws, lawful requests, and legal processes, such as responding to subpoenas or government requests.
4. Disclosure of Your Information
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information we collect in the following limited circumstances:
4.1 With Service Providers
We may share crash reports and technical information with service providers who assist us in operating the App, conducting our business, or providing services on our behalf, such as:
- Cloud hosting providers for data storage and processing
- Analytics and debugging tools
- Customer support platforms
These service providers are contractually obligated to use your information only for the purposes of providing services to us and to maintain the confidentiality and security of your information.
4.2 For Legal Purposes
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements. We may also disclose information when we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of Self Published, our users, or others.
4.3 Business Transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, receivership, purchase or sale of assets, or transition of service to another provider, your information may be disclosed or transferred as part of such a transaction. We will provide notice before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
4.4 With Your Consent
We may disclose your information for any other purpose with your consent.
5. Third-Party Services
The App does not integrate with or use any third-party services, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or social media services. We do not share your information with third parties for their marketing or advertising purposes.
The App is distributed through the Apple App Store, which is governed by Apple Inc.'s privacy policy and terms of service. When you download the App from the App Store, Apple may collect certain information about you in accordance with their own privacy practices. We recommend reviewing Apple's Privacy Policy to understand how they collect and use your information.
6. Data Storage and Security
6.1 Local Data Storage
All medication information, reminders, schedules, and other data you enter into the App is stored locally on your iOS device. This data is stored in the App's secure container provided by iOS and is protected by your device's security features, including:
- Device passcode or biometric authentication (Face ID or Touch ID)
- iOS encryption protocols
- App sandboxing that prevents unauthorized access by other apps
We do not have access to this locally stored data, and it is not transmitted to our servers or any external servers. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and any passcode or biometric authentication you use to protect it.
6.2 Security Measures
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect the limited information we do collect (crash reports) from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures include:
- Secure transmission protocols (HTTPS/TLS) when crash reports are transmitted
- Limited access to crash report data to only those employees and contractors who need access to perform their job functions
- Regular security assessments and updates
- Secure development practices and code reviews
6.3 Data Retention
Crash reports and diagnostic information are retained only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which they were collected, typically no longer than twenty-four months. After this period, such information is deleted or anonymized so that it can no longer be associated with individual users or devices.
Your locally stored medication data remains on your device until you manually delete it through the App or by uninstalling the App from your device.
6.4 Limitations of Security
While we implement reasonable security measures, please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is one hundred percent secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information. You use the App and provide information at your own risk.
7. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
7.1 Access and Control of Your Data
Because all of your medication information is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over this data. You can:
- View, edit, or delete any medication information, reminders, or notes at any time through the App's interface
- Export your data if such functionality is provided in the App
- Permanently delete all data by uninstalling the App from your device
7.2 Crash Reporting
Crash reporting is managed through iOS system settings. You can control whether crash reports are sent by:
- Opening the Settings app on your iOS device
- Navigating to Privacy & Security
- Selecting Analytics & Improvements
- Toggling "Share iPhone Analytics" or "Share iPad Analytics"
Disabling this setting will prevent crash reports from being sent for all apps on your device, not just our App.
7.3 Communication Preferences
The App does not send you marketing communications or newsletters. If you contact us for support and wish to stop receiving follow-up communications from us, you can opt out by replying to our email with an unsubscribe request or by contacting us directly.
7.4 State-Specific Privacy Rights

If you are accessing the App from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States where our servers are located and we operate.
The data protection and privacy laws of the United States may not be as comprehensive as those in your country. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States and its processing in accordance with this Privacy Policy and United States law.

We are not responsible for any health-related consequences resulting from your use of the App or reliance on the information you enter into it.
12. Do Not Track Signals
Some web browsers and mobile operating systems include Do Not Track (DNT) features or settings you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected.
